Day 1:
Nairobi / Maasai Mara Game Reserve
Depart Nairobi in the Morning 0900 hours for masai mara
passing through the dramatic Great Rift Valley stopping
at the view point, Ascend the western rim of the valley
crossing the loita plains (maasai-land),see red-clad maasai
warriors tend their multi-colored herds amongst plains
game. Lunch enroute.Arrive Mara for dinner and overnight
at Campsite.
Day 2
& 3: Two Full Days Maasai Mara Game Reserve
Morning and afternoon game viewing inside the Park. Search
for wild game black manned lion for which Mara is famous
for, cheetah, buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, leopard, grants
gazelle are quite common, even the rare rhino might come
out of the thicket for you, hyenas are plentiful, Extend
one of your drive to the hippo point where schools of
hippo submerge on the approach of vehicles only to surface
seconds later to shot and gamble their displeasure as
the crocodiles sun bathe on the river banks mouths agape.
Between meals there is optional visit to the maasai villages
for an insight to their culture if clients so wish. Meals
and overnight at Campsite.
Day 4:
Lake Nakuru National Park
Breakfast at campsite and depart for Lake Nakuru arriving
in time for lunch at campsite. Lake Nakuru is referred
as pink lake for it's thousands of pink flamingos and
other bird life-it's a bird watchers paradise. It has
a surprisingly number of animals, it is a rhino sanctuary
and the "Big Five except the elephant can be seen
here, afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Campsite.
Day 5:
Samburu National Reserve
After breakfast at Lake Nakuru depart for Samburu stopping
at the Equator point for pictures and Thomson Falls. Enroute
lunch, proceed through changing terrain to Samburu at
the rugged semi-desert region at the north. Arrive for
dinner and overnight at Campsite.
Day 6:
Samburu National Reserve
Early morning and afternoon game viewing drive at Samburu
in search of the rarely found species of wildgame like
the rare liver-red reticulated giraffe, grevy's zebra,
the long necked gerenuk antelopes. beisa Oryx, blue flanked
Somali ostrich, vulturine guinea fowl and also braving
lions on the grass, leopards in the trees and plenty of
other plains game. In between meals there is optional
visit to the Samburu villages if clients so wish. All
meals and overnight at Campsite.
Day 7:
Mt. Kenya / Aberdares Ranges Region
Depart Samburu after breakfast and drive to the shoulders
of Mt. Kenya arriving at campsite next to Mountain Rock
Hotel for lunch. Mount Kenya is the country's highest
mountain. Straddling the equator, it's icy summit reaches
to 5,199 m above sea level. Rest of the day at leisure
enjoying the spectacular views of the mountain and the
beautiful scenery in the environs. Dinner and overnight
at campsite.
Day 8:
Amboseli National Reserve
Breakfast at the Campsite and depart for Amboseli via
Nairobi for lunch. Afternoon proceed to Amboseli at the
foothills of the mighty snow-capped Mt.Kilimanjaro, Africa's
highest peak. The National Park embodies 5 main wildlife
habitats (open plains, acacia woodland, rocky thorn bush
country, swamps and marshland) and covers part of a pleistocene
lake basin, now dry. Within this basin is a temporary
lake, Lake Amboseli, that floods during years of heavy
rainfall. Arrive Amboseli for dinner and overnight at
campsite.
Day 9:
Amboseli National Reserve
Morning and afternoon game viewing drive inside the Park.
Amboseli is a photogenic Park and hosts a great number
of game and birdlife including the lion, Huge herds of
elephant and the splendid cheetah. Amboseli is famous
for its big game and its great scenic beauty - the landscape
is dominated by Mt. Kilimanjaro on the Tanzania side but
best seen from Kenya side. Enjoy early morning spectacular
views of the snow-capped Mountain. All meals and overnight
at campsite.
Day 10:
Tsavo West National Park
After breakfast depart for Tsavo west arriving in time
for Lunch. Tsavo West National Park, along with Tsavo
East National Park, are two of Africa's largest. Drought
and poachers caused enormous devastation to the Parks'
population of rhinos and elephants but both species are
now recovering. An arial count of elephants in this Tsavo
revealed that their population stood at 7000 as at 1991,
thus being the largest popuation in any Kenyan park. Afternoon
game drive to Visit Mzima springs. Dinner and over night
at campsite.
Day 10: Tsavo East National Park
After breakfast enjoy a game drive enroute as you depart
for Tsavo west arriving in time for lunch at Voi Town.
Afternoon game drive in Tsavo East National Park. Dinner
and over night at campsite.
Day 12:
Back to Nairobi + Depart
After breakfast, enjoy a game drive enroute to park's
gate as you depart to Nairobi. Time permitting, we make
a stopover at Mtito Andei town with a chance to buy a
souvenir or a cup of tea to arrive back in Nairobi by
late afternoon and in time to catch your home-bound /
onward flight. This marks the end of your Kenya exploratory
