Bird Watching
is a science, a sport and an art but above all, it is
one of the highly rated leisure travel activity. A Bird
Watching African Safari can also be a favorite pasttime
of those who choose to visit the three East African countries
of Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania collectively known as East
Africa. The mere diversity of avifauna over these three
countries with sightings being made of over 100 species
in 24 hours guarantees the best ornithological tours on
the continent.
East Africa has become a hub for both professional and
amature birders looking for a place to challenge their
birding skills and this has seen an increase in bird-watchers
from all over the world converging here to identify the
various species. To meet the demand, AfriChoice! has employed
a team of local ornithologists who are familiar with the
tropical species and who blend their information with
folklore associated with each bird. The end result is
an unforgetable African Bird Watching Safari! Here are
the countries we recommend;

be attributed to its location at a transitional point

| East Africa is an owesome
destination for bird lovers and bird watchers have a veritable
bird's paradise in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. Kenya is
especially famous as the temporary home of several migratory
species which fly from as far off as Europe (including flamingos
and pelicans)and find a sanctuary in the Rift Valley inland
seas of Lake Nakuru, Lake Baringo and Lake Elementaita.
Other almost extinct species are also to be found in the
tropical jungles of Kakamega Forest and Arabuko Sokoke at

East Africa is probably the best
place in the world for bird watching. There are over 1,250
species recorded; compare this with approximately 250
in Great Britain and 850 in Canada, United States and
Mexico combined! With a wealth of different habitats,
often close to each other, it's quite easy to record over
300 species in one day. Although many of the birds are
brightly colored and exotic looking, they are generally
quite easily recognized; within a day or two you will
be identifying the various species with ease! Their main
habitats include water, open plains, woodlands and farmlands.
