Day 1,
2, 3: Selous Game Reserve. 3 nights, Sand Rivers Selous
Your Southern Tanzania adventure begins when you arrive
at Dar es Salaam International Airport where youll
be assisted to connect with a scheduled flight to the
Selous Game Reserve. Sand River Selous, the most luxurious
lodge in the Selous game reserve, is situated in the Northern
part on the banks of the Rufiji River. The lodge is situated
under large Tamarind and Mahogany trees, on a rocky peninsula
overlooking a vast stretch of the Rufiji River.
Sand Rivers Selous has 8 grand open-fronted guest cottages
constructed from local wood and stone, each with large
en-suite bathrooms and running hot and cold water. This
safari lodge in Tanzania has an impressive dining and
lounge area, and swimming pool set on the banks of the
river. Its exposed sandbanks are home to hippo, crocodile
and a plethora of exotic bird life. Enthralling game drives,
walking safaris, and river trips will fill your days.
Each morning youll head out with your picnic lunch
into the fantastic scenery of Selous. The river provides
an utterly unique vantage point. Putter upstream on a
two-stroke then kill the switch and float lazily back

Day 4, 5, 6: Ruaha National Park.
3 nights, Mwagusi Safari Camp
After an early breakfast, a game drive transfer will take
you to the airstrip for the flight to Ruaha and youll
be met for your transfer to Mwagusi Camp. This small,
exclusive tented camp is nestled into a bank of the Mwagusi
Sand River overlooking a watering hole in the riverbed.
Mwagusi is an exclusive and highly regarded luxury tented
camp in Ruaha National Park, Tanzania.
Situated on the banks of the Mwagusi Sand River this is
one of the most scenically beautiful areas of the park
and has some of the greatest wildlife concentrations and
diversity. The sight of over 2,000 buffalo flooding the
riverbed below the tents and dining banda is not uncommon.
There will be plenty of opportunity for game drives and
walks throughout the area in the comfort of specially
adapted open-sided vehicles with cosy seats and shade.
Settle down in bean bags to gen up on reference books
or get your camera clicking. Your guides will have all
the gear for a day in the bush including medikits and

Day 7, 8, 9, 10: Pemba Island.
4 nights, Fundu Lagoon
After breakfast a short game drive will send you on your
way to the airstrip for your flight to Pemba. On arrival
youll be transferred to Fundu Lagoon Beach Resort.
The stylish and very exclusive Fundu Lagoon is located
on Pemba, just a short fly away from Zanzibar. Set on
the beautiful Wambaa beach on the south west of the island,
the resort is only accessible by boat. The fancy, romantic
and adventurous hotel is the perfect hide-away for honeymooners...
But also divers find the perfect paradise here.
Accessible only by boat, this is the perfect place to
escape holiday crowds. It offers a range of quality water
sports activities and a PADI dive centre means divers
of all levels can go large in the big blue of this top
diving destination. Turn to a treatment room for total

Day
11: Dar es Salaam. 1 night, The Oyster Bay. BB
Theres no hurry on your final day of leisure. A
mid-afternoon transfer to the airport will get you there
for a scheduled flight that returns you to Dar, abode
of peace, where youll be met and transferred
to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 12:
Departure
An early morning transfer to Dar es Salaam airport will
connect you with your homeward flight.
