Day 01
- Nairobi - The Norfolk Hotel
Arrival at Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta Airport, met and greeted
in our traditional style by our uniformed AfriChoice!
representatives, transfer to your city hotel. An hour
after checking, we take you on a city orientation tour
that takes you through the Central Business District viewing
the shopping areas, parliament buildings, Conference Centre
( KICC) and the Railway station and many of Nairobi's
modern and historical buildings. Our city tour also takes
you to places of interest such as the View Point to get
a panaromic view of the city, National Museums of Kenya,
the famous snake park and the colourful city market. Balance
of the day is spent at leisure at your hotel. Dinner on
own in your hotel. Overnight at your hotel, The Norfolk
Hotel, Bed & Breakfast.
Day 02: Amboseli National Park.
This morning after breakfast, transfer to the airport
for a short flight to Nairobi. After lunch, you will drive
to Amboseli, which lies in the shadow of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
The combination of salt flat and marshland provides one
of the most dramatic settings in Kenya, and the mountain
makes an amazing background for photographing animals.
Amboseli is known for its elephant herds, amazing to watch
as they and buffalo stand in the marshes to keep cool,
drink water and munch on vegetation. Other animals, such
as zebras and wildebeests and even lions are also found
here. This park, like others you visit, is a bird-watcher's

Day
03: Amboseli National Park.
Waking up for an early morning game viewing drive you
return to your lodge for breakfast. From your lodge you
enjoy unrivalled views of Mt Kilimanjaro and Meru which
can be clearly seen in the morning, particularly before
10 am. The rest of the morning is spent at leisure perhaps
enjoying the panoramic views of the park, particularly
atop Observation Hill, where you'll also find young Masai
ready to have their pictures taken (for a fee). In the
evening you undertake another game viewing drive to appreciate
the abundance of wildlife that thrives here. Ol Tukai

Day
04: Amboseli / Nairobi / Mount Kenya
After breakfast, take a short flight back to Nairobi.
Met and drive through the fertile central highlands to
Serena Mountain Lodge on the flanks of Kenya's highest
mountain and secreted deep within her largest forest reserve.
Fall asleep to the symphony of the African night or sit
in stillness and observe the fascinating interplay of
the animals as they arrive to drink, bathe, spar and forage
around the water hole. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day
05: Mount Kenya/ Samburu Game Reserve
Awake to the trumpeting of elephant before we travel to
Samburu Game Reserve, encountering Samburu people en-route.
An afternoon game drive provides an opportunity to see
the unusual animals indigenous to this area. Samburu lodge
(Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day
06: Samburu Game Reserve
Rise at dawn for a full day of game viewing in Samburu
Game Reserve. A wide variety of wildlife thrives in this
relatively small reserve located on the northern bank
of the Uaso Nyiro River. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 07: Samburu Game Reserve
/ Mount Kenya
Travel to the slopes of Mt. Kenya. The famous Mount Kenya
Safari Club offers a unique blend of comfort and relaxation
amid lush gardens. Optional excursions are available,
including golf, horseback riding, fishing, a game drive
in Sweetwaters Game Reserve, or a visit to the animal
orphanage. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day
08: Mount Kenya / Masai Mara Game Reserve
Fly to Masai Mara Game Reserve, arriving in time for lunch
and an afternoon game drive. Return to the lodge for tea
on the terrace or a sundowner at the Hippo Bar. Keekorok
Lodge (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day
09: Masai Mara Game Reserve
Encounter prides of lions, gatherings of hippos, and vast
herds of wildebeests, zebras and antelopes on morning
and afternoon game drives. A fabulous balloon safari over
the Masai Mara is also available (additional cost). (Breakfast,
Lunch, Dinner)
Day
10 - Back to Nairobi, Departure
After breakfast fly back to Nairobi, Kenya's colourful
capital city. Lunch at the famous Carnivore Restaurant.
Carnivore Barbecue Experience is also described as 'Meat
Eaters Paradise' and is the Africa's Greatest Eating Experence!
If your flight departs this evening, you may opt to take
a day room to rest at a city hotel. Your tour leader will
advise you on cost and options available. Later, we transfer
you to Jomo Kenyatta Airport for your onward arrangements.
